Return of The FanFic!

I haven't posted in weeks, according to LJ, and it's really a shame. I usually just get on and read my Friends' page but never update myself, until today when I stumbled upon a really good reason to not only post an entry but also exercise my fic-writing muscle. This is the first Legend of the Seeker fic I've posted (I've written a ton but never felt like getting them out in teh interwebs) and it's not as cracky as some of the wonderful stuff I'm used to reading in the LotS groups, but it's mine! :D

Title: Want
Pairing: R&K with a little of everyone's favorite Mord'Sith thrown in.
Prompt: "Richard/Kahlan - She watches him bathe."
Warnings: PG-13, closing in on R. Oh, and uncompletely un-beta'd because I'm a rebel.
Disclaimer: If I owned Richard, Kahlan and Cara, I would do lots worse to them. :)

Richard is drenched in sweat.

I am engaged in a Moses v. Pharaoh  battle right now.

My newspaper director told my counselor he "won't let me go."

Like I'm not equipped with free will.

I think I'll get a print out of the Exodus story and leave it in his mailbox and highlight a few key points, like the plagues of locusts and the famine.

I've got my counselor, Mr. H (which is short for "Hot"), on my side, so he's kind of like my Zipporah, and the news-beat editor is helping me out (Joseph!).

You know, Moses and I know how this is gonna turn out. It's just a matter of time.

Um, Hey....?

It's my birthday!!!!

Fuck yeah.

That's all, really.
Happy birthday to

lunalovepotter !!!!

Your fics are amazing, as are you, dear.

Writer's Block: Set Sail

Spike and Angel, President Roslin and Gaius Baltar, Harry and Hermione—shippers often find pairings that the original author might have overlooked. What coupling of fictional characters would you most like to see?
Okay, well, I always shipped Jo/Laurie. Stupid Amy and darn Jo's sensibilities. They would have been like, the Ron/Hermione of the 19th century. Srsly.

I also ship Jacob/Angela. Just because.

Other favorite pairings are: Dan/Blair and Jenny/Chuck from Gossip Girl, Draco/Ginny and Seamus/Dean from HP.

Really, though, I'm a canon girl. Rarely do I find fault with who the author picked to put together.

A Very Purposeful Post

So, a very delightful birthday to:

poetrytoprose !!!

Have a great day, ladies. =]

Writer's Block: Physical Education

Call it gym, P.E., recess, or pure hell, most people have participated in a class at school that focused on games and athletics. What sport or game did you hate the most when you were a kid? What sport or game was your favorite?
I hated swimming and virtually any game during high and middle schools but anything during elementary I remember as being really fun. Does anyone remember that game with the giant parachute? Everyone would grab the edges of it and one by one someone would try to run underneath it to the otherside and not get trapped under. SOOO much fun. Or that game with the giant multi-colored ball that we'd crab walk over to and kick like a soccer ball. Is it just a kid thing that giant objects equal fun?

Or just me?

Writer's Block: Little Women

Fans of Little Women often divide along Jo/Amy lines. Jo was independent and smart, but Amy always seemed to get what she wanted and have more fun. Are you in the Jo camp or the Amy camp?
Jo. I really disliked Amy in Little Women. Always have, always will. I can't believe that she even considered marrying Laurie after the history with Jo. Yes, Jo turned him down, but c'mon. Sisters before misters, broham, mk?

Team Jo all the way. Indepence, authoresses and men named after animals!

When I'm Old I'll Remember How...

...I got carpal tunnel typing multi-page, 1000+ essays for three different colleges in one night.

And I will punch myself in the face.
